  General Terms and Conditions  
  Global Network Technologies provides a number of services to its customers.  Global Network Technologies reserves the right to suspend or cancel a customer's access to any or all services provided by Global Network Technologies, when Global Network Technologies decides that the service has been inappropriately used or otherwise.  

Web Hosting
Global Network Technologies reserves the right to refuse service and/or access to its servers to anyone.

Web Hosting Accounts are to be used by the primary owner only.  Web Hosting Account holders are not permitted to resell, store or give away web-hosting services of their website to other parties.  Web hosting services are defined as allowing a separate, third party to host content on the owner's web site.  Exceptions to this include ad banners, classified ads, and personal ads.

Customers may however resell our packages, which include multiple domains.

Content Restrictions
Global Network Technologies do not allow any of the following content to be stored on its servers:

Illegal Material - This includes copyrighted works, commercial audio, video, or music files, and any material in violation of any Federal, State or Local regulation.

Adult Material - Includes all pornography, erotic images, or otherwise lewd or obscene content. The designation of "adult material" is left entirely to the discretion of Global Network Technologies.

Warez - Includes pirated software, ROMS, emulators, phreaking, hacking, password cracking, IP spoofing, etc., and encrypting of any of the above. Also includes any sites which provide "links to" or "how to" information about such material.

High bandwidth usage
Global Network Technologies offers a high use policy by maintaining very large ratios of bandwidth per customer.  In rare cases, Global Network Technologies may find a customer to be using server resources to such an extent that he or she may jeopardize server performance and resources for other customers.  In such instances, Global Network Technologies reserves the right to impose the High Resource User Policy for the consideration of all customers.

Resources are defined as bandwidth, processor utilization or disk space.

Background Processes/Programs
Global Network Technologies may allow client's programs to run continually in the background, these are considered on a one to one basis and an extra charge may be incurred based on system resources used and operational maintenance needed.

Streaming Content
Global Network Technologies do not allow streaming content on accounts due to the amount of bandwidth it uses up.  This uses up a lot of resources and unfairly limits how much bandwidth can be distributed between the remaining accounts.

Commercial Advertising - Email
Spamming, or the sending of unsolicited email, from a Global Network Technologies server or using an email address that is maintained on a Global Network Technologies machine is STRICTLY prohibited.  For general reference, we consider Spam any email that is sent to more than 10 people at a time that did not ask for it to be sent to them.

Global Network Technologies will be the sole arbiter as to what constitutes a violation of this provision.  Opt-In email is acceptable, as long as Opt-Out/Removal request are fully honoured.  Please make an effort to limit outgoing mail on your account to no more than 1000 pieces per hour.  Large mailings are preferred to be sent from the hours of 12AM - 6AM GMT.

Server Abuse
Any attempts to undermine or cause harm to a Global Network Technologies servers or a customer of Global Network Technologies, is strictly prohibited.  Global Network Technologies will pursue legal action to the fullest extent for all abuse of the Global Network Technologies or their Customer.

Enforced Policies
Global Network Technologies may implement the following policy to its sole discretion:

When a website is found to be monopolising the resources available Global Network Technologies reserves the right to suspend that site immediately.  This policy is only implemented in extreme circumstances and is intended to prevent the misuse of our servers.  Customers may be offered an option whereby Global Network Technologies continues hosting the website for an additional fee.

Any terms or conditions that are failed to be followed it will result in grounds for account suspension or de-activation.  Global Network Technologies reserves the right to remove any account without prior notice.  If Global Network Technologies deactivates your account's for violating policy, your will forfeit your rights to a refund... and none will be given.  No refunds for advance payments, on de-activated accounts.  Normal policy is a warning first, and account de-activation the second offence.  Serious offences may cause immediate de-activation.

Customer Data and Backups
Global Network Technologies will not be held responsible for any form of Data, whether it is stored on a Global Network Technologies Server, or on a Customer Site.  Data Backup and the Integrity of the Data Backup is the sole responsibility of the Customer.
Global Network Technologies will endeavour to
support a situation where Customer Data is lost or has become corrupt.  Data Recovery may incur a support charge.

Global Network Technologies does not utilize paper or hard-copy invoices.  All invoices are available via Email to download and print.  Please print any invoices for your records.

All accounts are set up on a prepay basis.  Although Global Network Technologies reserves the right to change prices of accounts or services at any time, all pricing is guaranteed for the period of prepayment.  Payment is due each anniversary year or month following the date the account was established.  Customers will automatically be invoiced again at the end of their prepay period unless closure notification has already been given.

In situations where the payment is declined, Global Network Technologies reserves the right to suspend the services provided until the outstanding debt is cleared.  The customer is responsible for all money owed on the account from the time it was established to the time that the customer sends a written cancellation request.

No bills or invoices will be sent by regular mail.  All invoices will be sent directly to customers via email or an online billing system, shortly after the purchase or renewal of a service has been made.  At this point the customer is requested to pay the invoice using the available payment options.  All payment is in UK sterling and V.A.T is also applied.

Payment options
In order to streamline our accounting procedures and keep costs down Global Network Technologies currently runs a limited number of payment options:

Direct Bank Transfer is the preferred method of payment, details of banking details will be provided on the Invoice for your purchase.

Cheque Payment is also available.  Global Network Technologies cannot guarantee that a service will be provided until after any received cheques have been cleared.

Cancellation and Refunds
Global Network Technologies reserves the right to cancel the service at any time.  In this event customers will be entitled to a pro rata refund based upon the remaining period of membership.  If a customer contravenes Global Network Technologies Terms and Conditions, a refund will not be issued in the event of a cancellation.

Customers may cancel their service at any time with these conditions:

Monthly accounts: 30 days notice is required from last invoice date.  No further payment will be requested.
Annual accounts: 30 days notice is required from last invoice date, Global Network Technologies is not obligated to refund the customer, but may do so at their discretion.
Any incentives offered to customers when opening the account will also be cancelled.
Written confirmation is required in order for a Service to be cancelled.  All cancellation requests should be made 72 hours prior to the renewal date of the service.  Upon submitting a cancellation request your service will be disabled within 72 hours of its receipt by the Global Network Technologies.

Global Network Technologies will endeavour to provide a continuous high quality service.  If you experience problems with your service, you should consult our support section (  Should you fail to find a resolution to the problem in our FAQ's or Knowledge Base then you will find our support contact details within our support section.
Please note we may require suspension of some of our services for short scheduled periods to carry out maintenance or repair to our services.

Customer agrees that it shall defend, indemnify, save and hold Global Network Technologies harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including reasonable attorney's fees asserted against Global Network Technologies, its agents, its customers, officers and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by customer, its agents, employees or assigns.

Customer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Global Network Technologies against liabilities arising out of; (1) any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with Global Network Technologies; (2) any material supplied by customer infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party; (3) copyright infringement and (4) any defective products sold to customer from Global Network Technologies.

Global Network Technologies will not be responsible for any damages your business may suffer.  Global Network Technologies makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services we provide.  Global Network Technologies does not back up your data/website unless it is placed on a load balanced server, and whilst every attempt would be made in the unlikely event of any corruption or hardware failure, Global Network Technologies cannot guarantee to be able to replace lost data.  Global Network Technologies disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.  This includes loss of data resulting from delays, non-deliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions caused by Global Network Technologies and its employees.  Global Network Technologies reserves the right to revise its policies at any time.
